Welcome to Starling Cleaning Service (“we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website and services. By booking a service or interacting with our website, you agree to these Terms.

1. Use of Website and Services You agree to use our website and services for lawful purposes only and in compliance with these Terms. You must not misuse the website or attempt to access secure areas without authorization.

2. Service Scope & Deliverables All cleaning services—including but not limited to regular cleaning, deep cleaning, and specialized residential or commercial services—are provided based on a clearly defined scope agreed upon during booking. Any additional services requested on-site may incur extra charges, which must be agreed upon with our staff before work begins.

3. Booking and Cancellations

  • Booking: All service bookings are considered confirmed once scheduled through our website, phone, or email.
  • Cancellations: We require at least 24 hours' notice for any service cancellation or rescheduling. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in a cancellation fee equal to a portion of the service cost.

4. Payments & Invoicing

  • Pricing: All prices quoted are based on the service scope and are subject to change if the scope of work is altered.
  • Payment: Payment is due upon completion of the service unless otherwise specified in a formal contract for ongoing services.
  • Overdue Payments: We reserve the right to charge a late fee for payments not received within the agreed-upon timeframe.

5. Client Responsibilities To ensure the best possible service, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about your property and cleaning needs.
  • Ensure our cleaning staff has safe and unobstructed access to the property at the scheduled time.
  • Secure all valuables, sensitive documents, and pets before our staff’s arrival.

6. Our Liability: While we take the utmost care with your property, Starling Cleaning Service is not liable for:

  • Damage caused by pre-existing conditions (e.g., loose fixtures, worn flooring).
  • Breakage of unsecured or fragile items not explicitly pointed out to our staff.
  • Damage resulting from the use of client-provided cleaning products or equipment.

7. Confidentiality We treat all client information, including personal data and property details, as strictly confidential. We agree not to disclose sensitive information to third parties without your prior written consent, except as required by law.

8. Termination of Service Either party may terminate a recurring service agreement as per the notice period defined in the contract. We reserve the right to terminate service immediately if there is a safety risk to our staff or a breach of these Terms.

9. Modifications to Terms We may update these Terms occasionally. Your continued use of our services after updates implies your acceptance of the new Terms.

10. Governing Law These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Fernie, British Columbia.
